Born in the Philippines, Manny came to this country at an early age. Most of his life was spent living in New Jersey and, now retired, travels the country in an RV. Manny resides in Florida for most of the year and travels to Maine and the Northeast during the summer. Besides earning a BA Degree in Art Education from Monmouth University (NJ), he has studied with nationally renowned artists Frank Francese, Robert O’Brien, Pat Dews and Timothy Thies. Manny has taught art privately and his paintings are in private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Canada and Australia. A plein air watercolor artist since 2004, he is represented by the Frederick Gallery, Spring Lake, NJ.

“Capturing in my paintings how light affects the color, form, atmosphere and mood found outdoors on site, becomes an alluring challenge to me as a watercolor artist. Watercolor’s transparency, subtle and gentle effects can produce a creative expression that’s unique and captivating. Being connected with plein air painters throughout the country associates me with a group of artists whose art often reflects the qualities found in the French Impressionistic tradition.”
