I paint en plein air with watercolor pigment on paper. My work is traditional using the endless variations of watercolor. My goal is to have you react personally to the paint, to the composition, and to your inner relationship with the subject. I want to express that moment in time and share the tranquility or excitement I felt while painting. I've painted on location in many states, but now concentrate on capturing the Florida landscape.
I hold a degree in Commercial Art from Ferris State College in Big Rapids, MI with classes in oil and acrylic painting. After college I decided to focus on watercolor. Additional training came in workshops with such renowned watercolor artists as Joe Fettingus, Tom Lynch, Terry Madden, Tom Jones, Janet Rogers, Frank Webb, and Peter Spataro.
My paintings are sold through local art galleries and art festivals. I am a past President of the Central Florida Watercolor Society (CFWS), and an Exhibiting Member of Central Florida Plein Air Artists (CFPAA).
